META Tags - improve search engine rankings

META tags are included in your Web pages, and give search engines (like Google and Yahoo) information about your site. There are several META tags, but the most important for search engine indexing are the description and keywords tags. The description tag returns a description of the page in place of the summary the search engine would ordinarily create. The keywords tag provides keywords for the search engine to associate with your page.

If you use the following META tags within the section of your HTML files:-

<META Name="description" Content="An excellent, family-friendly, Harry Potter chat room open 24 hours a day">
<META Name="keywords" Content="chatroom, chat, harry potter chat, harrypotter chat, chat room">

Then when people search for Harry Potter chat rooms, they'll see yours, and see the description "An excellent, family-friendly, Harry Potter chat room open 24 hours a day".

We recommend pasting those META tags onto the HEAD section of all your pages on your site. You may want to adjust the words and description for each page.
